I didn’t plan to become a silversmith. In fact, looking back, my path to this career still feels like a bit of an adventure…. I had given up my “safe” career at an accounting firm in hopes of finding a more exciting one, and after 10 years of continent hopping, I was still searching.

Convinced that I was destined for a career in the healing arts, I took a trip to the Canadian Rockies, hoping to find a teacher who would inspire me. I did not. But I did find inspiration… in a wonderful woman who made exquisite silver jewellery…. I had always loved handcrafted jewellery, but until this moment it never occurred to me that I could make it myself.

The artist in me had awoken. I took the chance, and flew to Mexico to study. It was an incredible experience – my passion was ignited, and I was able to spend all my waking...
