About Solo Trattoria Sault Ste. Marie

I was born and raised in an Italian household where being around the dinner table was an expression of family. Food brought us together and strengthened our bonds. At the age of ten, I knew I wanted to become a chef and use food as a means to bring people together.

I worked in the kitchen of several local Italian restaurants, first as a dishwasher, and then when I graduated from Sault College's Culinary program in 1996, I began cooking my own signature dishes.

While experimenting with different food groups, I dreamed of owning my own establishment where people could visit, eat, and "feel at home."

In 2007, I opened the doors to Solo Trattoria, an 80 seat restaurant that became well-known for taste savouring meals prepared fresh and from scratch. Our Risotto has been a frequently ordered and a favourite dish ever since. The meal is often referred to by customers...
